The VFITB conducted a half day forum for food processing industry representatives in October. The aim was to provide straight forward, interesting and inspiring information about accredited training opportunities in the food processing sector. Forum topics and links to Presentations are listed here:

Our featured industry speakers were Leanne McPherson and Nicole Lam. See bios below. If you see some information or ideas in these forum presentations you would like to discuss please ring on (03) 9621-3349 or email info@vfitb.com.au

One of the reasons it is complicated for industry representatives to access the training system is the separation of roles and responsibilities of key organisations. We strive to explain those roles and how to best work with the stakeholders to achieve your organisation and production aims.

Everyone at the Geelong poultry site has completed or are in the process of completing Certificate II or III in Food Processing. The farming personnel have completed Certificate III in Agriculture. She also worked with the Gordon Institute on an interactive training resource for Food Industry communication and safety called 'How do you know?'

Nicole Lam
